Easter Holiday Activities

Happy Easter Year 3!

We are not going to set work for the Easter Holiday but we do want you to keep reading for at least 20 minutes every day (books from home, using the Get Epic or Oxford Owl websites). Remember for every book review you send us you get a housepoint!

You could also continue with PE with Joe Wicks, Rocksteady and TT Rockstars.

In addition, here are some links/ideas for you to try if you get stuck with things to do over the two week holiday.

Easter Project: Making a Roman Soldier Helmet

For your Easter project, we would like you to create a cardboard Roman soldier helmet to go along with your Roman shield! Once you finish you will look like a real Roman soldier! First, you can research what Roman soldier helmets looked like so you have a better idea for how to design your own. Next, watch the video below, it will guide you step-by-step to make your own helmet. We have also included a template to help you if you would like to use it. Or you could just draw it free-hand! Be creative!

Feel free to email us photos of your creations, we would love to see!

Happy crafting!

Y3 Easter Eggstravaganza!

We would like you to take part in our Eggstravaganza! You need to take an egg (either hard boiled or blown) and turn it into a character or a scene that plays on the word egg. For example you could paint your egg as Harry Potter but he would be called Haregg Potter. You could make a scene and call it Eggcellent (rather than excellent!) Other ideas could be Eggsplosive, egg and spoon race, matheggmatical problem.... the only limit is your imagination! You may wish to use this to enter the school Easter Egg competition. Don't forget to send in photos of your finished design. Good Luck!

30 Day Lego Challenge

Calling all Lego builders!

Thirty Lego challenges (1 a day for a month!)  for all ages to enjoy. Don't forget to send in pictures of your completed models!

Discover your inner Mary Berry with some of these ideas from the BBC Good Food website. Don't forget to send in some pictures of your finished bakes!
