Tuesday 

Look at the 2D shapes you found around the house yesterday. Have a go at drawing these shapes. Use the 2D shape sheet to help you draw them. Then, answer the questions below.

  • How many sides does a square have?
  • How many sides does a rectangle have?
  • How many sides does a triangle have?
  • How many sides does a circle have?

Wednesday

Using different 2D shapes, make a picture. Look at the example below to help you. You could make a rocket, a robot, a train… make sure that you are using different 2D shapes to make your picture. 

Thursday

Look at the 3D shape support sheet below. Find different 3D shapes around your house (baked bean tin- cylinder). Make a list or take a picture of the different items you find and send them to the home learning email.

Friday

Look at the patterns on the sheet. What shape will come next? The sheet has given you all the shapes that you need to continue the pattern. You can draw the patterns on a separate piece of paper. Once you have completed the sheet, make your own patterns with different shapes.
