Linking to our English work on poetry, read the different poems below and answer the questions linked to them (Monday- Wednesday)
Use the key word vocabulary below to help you-
Repetition: repeating a word or phrase for effect
Alliteration: repetition of usually the first sound in 2 or more neighbouring words or syllables
Rhyming: words that sound the same or are similar in their endings – usually at the end of lines
Similes: a figure of speech that directly compares 2 different things – usually in a phrase using ‘as’ or ‘like’ e.g. as sweet as a honeybee or roar like a lion
The other 2 activities (Thursday and Friday) are linked to your favourite book. You may have enjoyed reading a new book over Christmas or rereading your favourite old book.
Thursday- Redesign a book cover for your book. Why not try the challenge and write a blurb for your book.
Friday- Complete a book review for your chosen book.
