Literacy

In this weeks literacy, we are recapping everything that we have learnt so far. Our focus this week is oracy and sentence writing. 

Activities:

 

Monday  

Starter: The odd one out - children have to decide which image is the odd one out and why. Children need to explain their answer verbally to an adult.

Main -  Introduce the word where - children look at the colour and recognise the 'where' colour and the where that is in a sentence. The where is called a noun  - the noun is a person, place or thing. Take a selection of the coloured cards, can the child identify the where from the cards?

 

Tuesday 

Starter: The odd one out - children have to decide which image is the odd one out and why. Children need to explain their answer verbally to an adult. 

Main - Re-cap the who? What colour is it - Images on the powerpoint can you identify the who from the pictures? Children then need to complete worksheet.

 

Wednesday
