Lesson 1 literacy:

Watch the story Whatever Next. Use the presentation to answer comprehension questions about the text.

Lesson 2 literacy:

Re-watch the story. Cold task. Ask your child about the things they need to include in the sentence. Can they name the four parts? Who, what doing, what with and where. Also ask your children about their toolkit - capital letter, full stops and finger spaces. Allow your child to independently write a sentence about anything they wish.

Lesson 3 literacy:

Re-watch the story. Use the power point to recap the four parts of a sentence using the colourful semantics. Ask your child to write a sentence about baby bear from whatever next.

Oracy 1/2/3/4 - Would you rather. Have a look at the questions on the PDF literacy file. Explain to your child that they need to chose which one they prefer but they need to give a reason why. Ask your child to speak in full sentences. Remind them that there is no right or wrong answer.
