The Department for Education (Dfe) introduced sports premium in all schools in March 2013 and doubled the amount allocated in 2017.  Currently, The Ridgeway receives around £17,000 in sports premium funding each year.  The majority of our allocation pays for sports coaching, direct sports teaching and extra-curricular activities provided by Premier, our coaching provider.  Details of how we spend our sports premium allocation are available in the sports premium report, below.
