Properties of 2D shapes
Before the lesson try and find some paper and a pencil - we will start with one of our favourite games - Bingo.
Today is one of our live lessons and we are going to build on the work you started yesterday. Today we are going to work together to find the properties of some 2D shapes.
First before we meet at 10.30 try and have a watch of this clip below to remind yourself what a 2D shape is.
Have a go at the quiz on the link above and see how many of the shapes you can name?
What does 2-D and 3-D mean? Can you remember?
Have a look at this sheet to remind yourself. This will come in handy when we do our learning today so if you can have a look at it ahead of time that would be great.
Once we have met and done our learning today I would like you to have a go at one of the activities below.
There is a tricky or trickier option so have a good think about which one you would like to work through.
When we talk about 2D shapes we use special words to describe their sides and their angles (corners). Have a look below.
