I would like to know what you got up to to over the Christmas holidays.
Did you get some nice presents?
Did you go on some lovely walks?
Did you have conversations with your Grandparents over the computer?
You can use the template or just do it on a blank or lined piece of paper.
Please draw what you got up to and write one or two words to describe your picture.
Please write at least 3 sentences explaining what you got up to during your holidays. After you have finished your writing, please draw a picture.
Our class text for the next 2 weeks is going to be 'The Lighthouse Keeper's Lunch'. I would like you to watch the video of our storybook at least 2 times so you have start to know the story.
What information can you remember from the story?
Can you remember any of the character's names?
What items does the main character have in his lunch basket?
I can't wait to see your answers!
Please watch 'The Lighthouse Keeper's lunch story' a few more times. This time, I would like you to either draw your own story map or use one of the 2 templates below. Please draw pictures!!
I will pop my version on here later on Wednesday so you can have a look at mine.
In order to be able to use this story, we need to know it really well!
Have another listen to our class story but this time also look at your story map or mine. Can you think of any actions for the story?
Please put some actions to your story map so that it helps you remember the story.
I will be popping my actions on before Thursday lunchtime to help you in case you might need some ideas.
I can't wait to see your actions!!
Please go through your story map and listen to the story if you need reminding.
I would like you to sequence the Mr Grinling's lunch into the order they appear in the story. You can draw your own or can cut out the food in the template below.
