This week we are starting a new topic all about mass, volume and length. You can practice these at home by measuring the length of different objects or use a measuring jug to measure the volume of a liquid. I have attached the workbook pages and extra sheets if the workbook is a bit tricky. There will be only 4 lessons of maths this week because it is VE day on Friday.

Lesson 1 - Reading for pleasure
Enjoy some time reading to members of your family or to yourself. You can choose any book you like or have a look on the Epic Reading website for some comics and other books. You can use Epic Reading to find books within you AR level. If you are unsure of your level then please email us.
Lesson 2 - Identifying key words
Read through the short story and highlight any key words you could use in your writing. Try and find exciting words that you have not used before.
Lesson 3 + 4 - Turning the text into a comic strip.
Use the comic strip boxes or draw your own and turn 'Umbrella' into a comic. You can use speech bubble to show speech and thought bubbles to show how a character is feeling. Try and add as much detail to each picture by using information from the text.
