Weekly Message

We hope you are all well during this 7th week of lockdown. Hopefully you have had a good weekend.  Unfortunately the weather wasn’t as good last week but we’re sure the gardens and flowers are glad to drink the rain water to help them to grow!

Please do keep posting photos and videos on your child's Tapestry.  The staff are trying to ensure the well-being of all the children, so if we don't hear from you, alarm bells ring and we become concerned.

Mrs Aslett was working with some of our children at the hub at Whitley Park school last week.  As part of our week, we celebrated the 100th birthday of Captain Tom.  He had raised millions of pounds by walking 100 laps of his garden.  Quite an achievement at such an age. Did you see the celebrations on the news?

This week we will be celebrating VE day.  You'll be finding out all about it on Friday.

There are no birthdays to celebrate in Reception this week, bu there are a few coming up in the next few weeks, so keep an out!

This week we are starting our story of Handa's Surpirse and have lots of fun activities lined up for you!

School is CLOSED on 1st June to allow staff to prepare for reopening. School will reopen to some pupils from 2nd June - if your child has been allocated a place in school you will have received a letter. Please contact the school office by phone or email if you think your child should be returning to school but haven't had a letter. Stay safe.
