We hope that you have had a lovely weekend. Maybe some of you joined in with celebrations for VE day. We have received some photos of a few of you celebrating, but we would love to see some more and to hear what you have been up to!
It’s been such a long time since we’ve all been together but we do love receiving photos, videos and messages about all the things you’ve been doing at home. Please, please, please keep sending them to Tapestry. When we don't hear from you for a while, we get quite worried and may try to contact you by phone or email, or even pay a visit to your home.
The teachers really do understand that home learning is very challenging, especially after such a long time. Sometimes it is difficult to stay motivated. We don't want you to become anxious about getting the "work" done, but we do want to check that you are ok and coping alright. Although the challenges that we set each day are beneficial to the children's continued learning, if it is becoming too stressful to engage your child in the activities, then please don't force it. We want to encourage a love of learning in the children and if you or your child are becoming stressed over completing them, then this will have a detrimental effect. If all else fails, try to at least encourage them to watch and take part in the phonics lessons that are on Youtube daily. And do post us photos of what you have been up to, even if it is not related to the challenges.
This week we received a lovely video of one of our Reception children who has learnt to ride her bike without stabilisers! An amazing achievement!
Ms Steele has recorded another "Well Done" celebration assembly and you can watch the video here!
Congratulations to Jenson H and Evelyn from Kennet and Rebecca and Isaac from Loddon for being this week's Stars of the Week! ⭐⭐⭐⭐
We have no birthdays again to celebrate this week in Reception, but we do have a few coming up next week!
Take care, stay safe and KEEP IN TOUCH! 😀😀😀
With love from the Reception Team xx ❤
