This week we are going to read the book Stone Age Boy.
Activity 1 - Using the front cover and blurb write 5 prediction of what you think the story is going to be about. Write what evidence you used for your ideas.
Example - I predict the story will be about a boy and girl who find something shocking in a cave because the front cover shows a boy and girl looking surprised at the mouth of a cave.
Activity 2 - Listen to the book and write down what you like a dislike. Write down any questions you have to the author or illustrator. Example. I like the part when the boy plays air guitar because it made me laugh. I did not like the part the beginning because I did not know how the boy ended up in the Stone Age. My question to the author would be - Why didn't you use speech when the boy and girl first met on page 11?
Activity 3 - Have a look at page 11 (see attached page) and think about what the characters are thinking. Use the pictures on 'Character's thoughts' worksheet to write down what the characters are thinking. You can draw thought bubbles for each character. Have a look at their actions and facial expressions to help you.
Activity 4 - Choose 1 page from the Christmas activity book to complete
