  • Year 1 Outdoor Learning Day09:00 - 15:00March 2024 Dear Parents/carers The Ufton Court Day Trip As part of the enrichment for the curriculum, Year 1 will be visiting Ufton Court on Thursday May 2nd 2024. The cost of the trip will be £10 per child. You will be able to pay for this trip online. The children will be leaving school at 9:30am on minibuses for a 25 minute drive to Ufton Court. We will be returning to school for the normal pick up time from classrooms. The children will need to wear forest school clothing which includes a coat, wellington boots and comfortable clothes underneath. We will be doing some activities in a wooded area and also visiting some farm animals. Please can you pack a bag with  spare clothes including socks and underpants  a full water bottle  a packed lunch If your child is entitled to a free school meal, then we can order one through school. Please let us know by April 19th if you would like to order one. Please make sure the school is made aware of travel sickness, hay fever or any other medical issues by the 26th April. Please make sure any travel sickness medication is taken before school in the morning and if necessary given to a member of staff for the return journey.   • Year 5 extended day in Ufton (Tudors)09:00 - 15:15Dear Parents and Carers, We are pleased to inform you that we are taking year 5 for an extended day visit to Ufton Court on Friday 3rd May, with a focus on Tudor history. We are aiming to leave school at 9am and will return by 5pm for you to collect your child. The day will include bow and arrow making, activities around Tudor crime and punishment and a Tudor banquet with games, entertainment and lunch provided for the children. The cost of the trip is £25 per child. We realise that this is a lot to ask for at such short notice so if you are unable to pay the full amount upfront we are asking for an initial payment of £10 by the 1st May and request that the rest is paid by Friday 24th May, the last day before half term. We understand that times are tough at the moment and again apologise for the short notice but this really will be fantastic experience for the children. If you are happy for your child to attend, please sign the permission slip below and return to your class teacher along with your full payment of £25 or initial payment of £10 by Wednesday 1st May.
