PE and Sports Premium

The government is providing funding of £150 million to provide new and substantial primary school sport funding. The funding is being jointly provided by the Departments for Education, Health and Culture, and Media and Sport, and will see money going directly to primary school headteachers to spend on improving the quality of sport and PE for all their children.

This funding is intended for the purposes of establishing and developing sports activities which are sustainable in the long term.

Academic Year 2024/2025

The Department of Education has changed the way schools report their sports funding this year. The system used is online and produces summary files which can be found below.

In essence, we spend the sports funding to support the key areas that we feel are important to the children. These include:

Continuous Professional Development of staff including training a new Forest School Leader, PE Conference for the new PE Leader, Get Set for PE whole school planning package.

Swimming - catchup lessons for the children in Year 5.

Internal Opportunities such as the delivery of Forest School, after school clubs and external cricket clubs in Early Years and Key Stage 1.

Equipment renewal for OPAL and PE lessons.
